You're right

It does sound like Megaman, after playing the NES games again. You've done a great job capturing the 8-bit feel, and I am hoping that you will continue to make some more of these tracks, so don't let me down.

A nice track

At first, I couldn't tell whether it was a harp or a quiet guitar, but as the song progressed, it didn't matter much to me, since the song as a whole was rather soothing and mellow. It has a simple rhythm, but the song is great. Keep up the good work.

VegetarianMeat responds:

It's a harp, thanks for the review :)

Hmm...

You've got a decent beat with the background bass and drums, but I'm not sure that the piano compliments it. If you were to use a chopped lead instead of the piano, and perhaps did a light pad to go along with the beginning, so that it didn't sound choppy, it would improve the quality. I think that the notes cut off too abruptly in the beginning, but the pad would help with that. You're getting better in some area, while others still need to be improved.

I have to agree

With ninjakoopa-33, the notes were out of step in the beginning, but I like how you used some ambient guitar plucks, I wasn't expecting it to turn into synths later on. However, it seems a bit bland to me, and could use some more adjustment, perhaps a faster pace, and possibly some counter-melodies as the song progresses.

godseth responds:

Thank you Celest once again for another weighted review. But then again im just starting out with all this music stuff so im cranking stuff out to get better. I cant really decide on a genre i want to stick with so i wad them all together.

Getting Better

This isn't bad for using Garage Band, Neon, but if you want to enhance the quality of the song, try using FL Studio or any other program. People tend to love songs that aren't pre-made riffs a lot better, and I know that you have the spark to create original music. Keep up the good work, the more you do, the better the quality.

NeonNoble responds:

Actually, Celest, these aren't pre-made riffs. It's all custom. I'm just using Garageband's instruments.

Are you trying to say I'm not original? XD JK

Hmm

You're trying to make techno, am I right? You've got the synths right, but the drum instruments that you used didn't fit the techno-feel to me towards the beginning. However, the beat is okay, but if you can change the instruments you used on the drums, I think that it would improve the quality of the song. Also, it needs just a tad more bass, but that's just my opinion. Other than that, the song isn't bad. Keep up the good work, I can tell that you're getting better with each song that you're making.

Well-made

I've always loved the different renditions users make of His World, but this one is quite upbeat, I can continue tapping my foot to this rhythm! Keep up the good work, I want to hear more remixes with this quality!

Magical

I love how you've captured the bruteness that this song is supposed to have! The boss in the game is the Profound Darkness, and since it is the root of all evil, the song must be dreading, but also along a techno/futuristic theme like the other Phantasy Star games. Out of curiosity, did you use PoiZone and Sytrus for some of the instruments? Keep up the good work, I want to hear more tracks from you like this!

grahf677 responds:

you are right....i did use some poizone and of course some sytrus

Hmm...

I'm trying to place this song in a category, but none seem to come to my mind. My friend, I think you might've created a new style of music, perhaps? Keep up the good work, the harder you work, the more you'll improve!

godseth responds:

Thanks very much for the positive words

Great Track

This song has a great beat behind it! It's quite relaxing and soothing, but at the same time, has a beat behind it that makes you somewhat want to get up and groove. It's been a while since the last time I've heard a song with multiple effects in it. Keep up the good work, I want to hear more music from you like this.

DJdudenator responds:

Glad you liked it. but i don't think i will ever be ble to create another good song such as this one....
thanks for the review!
